Damiano Mengozzi - born in 1987 - is a Swiss contemporary artist living and working in Lugano (CH).

Since childhood he enjoyed doodling on all available surfaces and from the age of 15, thanks to graffiti and more generally to street art, he experiments various techniques (sprays, stencils, posters, installations, etc.).

After high school, he studied art direction and graphic design at the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan and, to date, he has done two group exhibitions, two personal exhibitions and some public mural art works.

He began painting on canvas with mixed techniques, creating mainly abstract works, also experimenting with ready-made works and installations to then undertake a landscape painting journey, to better understand the secrets of Macchiaioli and Impressionist painting.

Now he works mainly on canvas with acrylic paint, spray paint and oil pastels.
His style refers to different contexts and draws from different influences but the main ones undoubtedly come from the world of urban art, from naïve art and the desire to freely and spontaneously communicate everyday emotions and the relationship with nature.
